Olivia Lewis Gahm & Emily Zughaib Join Stokes Lawrence

Stokes Lawrence is pleased to welcome associates Olivia Lewis Gahm and Emily Zughaib to the firm’s premier Litigation team. Olivia will be based in the firm’s Yakima office, and Emily will join the Seattle office.

Olivia Lewis Gahm joins the firm’s Yakima office as a litigation associate, bringing a broad range of legal experience from both federal and tribal court settings. As a clinical student with Gonzaga University School of Law’s General Public Interest and Indian Law Clinic, Olivia represented clients in matters involving family law, housing, estate planning, and tribal law. She also supported public defense services in the Kalispel Tribal Court.

Olivia further expanded her litigation experience as an intern with the Federal Defenders of Eastern Washington and Idaho, assisting with client interviews, hearings, trial preparation, and appeals while managing her own petty offense caseload.

A magna cum laude graduate of Gonzaga University School of Law and a merit scholar, Olivia was deeply involved in community service during law school. Her volunteer work with the Women & Children’s Free Restaurant and the Washington State Bar Association’s Moderate Means Program earned her Gonzaga’s Platinum Pro Bono Distinction Award.

Emily Zughaib joins Stokes Lawrence as a litigation associate in Seattle. Prior to joining the firm, Emily served as a summer associate at Karr Tuttle Campbell, where she drafted dispositive motions, supported discovery efforts, and advised clients on multi-jurisdictional employment law compliance.

While earning her J.D. at the University of Washington School of Law, Emily externed with Judge Bradley A. Maxa at the Washington Court of Appeals, Division II, and with the Seattle City Attorney’s Office, Torts Division. In these roles, she gained experience in civil appeals, motions practice, and deposition preparation. Emily also participated in the University of Washington’s Tribal Court Clinic, working in the Tulalip Tribal Court.

Emily is a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.
