The Summer Associate Program offers 2L law students a meaningful introduction to the practice of law at Stokes Lawrence. Summer associates contribute to real client matters and engage with the kind of sophisticated, thoughtful work that defines the firm’s practice. As future members of the profession and potential future colleagues, summer associates are an important part of the firm’s long-term vision.
From the start of the program, summer associates join active teams and contribute to substantive work, including research, drafting, and participation in client meetings. Workflow coordinators manage project distribution across practice areas, connect associates with hands-on learning opportunities, and hold regular check-ins to support development and maintain balanced workloads.
The program also includes targeted development workshops, opportunities to build relationships across the firm, and social events that highlight Stokes Lawrence’s community and culture. These experiences are designed to offer an authentic view of life at the firm and the meaningful role that attorneys and staff play in serving clients.
