With a practice centered on estate planning and the administration of trusts and estates, Johanna Coolbaugh assists clients in developing comprehensive estate plans, including revocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, health care directives, and property status agreements.
Her work also encompasses sophisticated gift planning, such as establishing and funding irrevocable multi‑generational trusts, charitable trusts, and family holding companies. In addition, she prepares and files federal estate and gift tax returns (Forms 706 and 709) and Washington estate tax returns.
Beyond planning and tax compliance, Johanna advises beneficiaries and individual and professional fiduciaries on complex trust and estate settlement and litigation matters. Her experience extends to navigating and resolving disputes under the Trust and Estate Dispute Resolution Act (TEDRA).
Active in the legal community, Johanna has held leadership and volunteer roles with the Washington State Bar Association, King County Bar Association, and Seattle Estate Planning Council.
