Smith at the Washington State Court of Appeals, Division I, where she managed a complex caseload of civil and criminal appeals, conducted in-depth legal research, and drafted judicial opinions. Before her clerkship, Anna served as a legislative extern at the Washington State Hospital Association and as a legal extern to Judge Beth M. Andrus at the Washington Court of Appeals, gaining experience in client-facing legal work, legislative drafting, and appellate research.
