Stokes Lawrence is pleased to welcome Kathryn (Katy) Penrod to the firm’s premier Litigation team in Seattle, where she represents clients in complex disputes with focused judgment, careful preparation, and dedicated advocacy.
Katy works with clients through all stages of litigation, and includes managing discovery, drafting dispositive and procedural motions, conducting and defending depositions, preparing matters for trial, and leading mediations and arbitrations to achieve favorable outcomes.
Before joining the firm, Katy gained broad legal experience at a local litigation boutique, and through public service and nonprofit roles.
She earned her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 2024, after receiving her B.A., cum laude, in Political Science at the University of Washington in 2016.
