Kathryn (Katy) Penrod is a litigation associate at Stokes Lawrence. She represents clients in complex disputes and brings focused judgment, careful preparation, and committed advocacy to each matter.
Katy works with clients through all stages of litigation and is trusted to navigate challenging legal and factual issues with clarity and professionalism. Her practice includes managing discovery, drafting dispositive and procedural motions, conducting and defending depositions, preparing matters for trial, and leading mediations and arbitrations to advance efficient and favorable resolutions. She approaches her work with a strong command of the law and a clear understanding of her clients’ objectives, delivering advocacy that is both strategic and practical.
Before joining the firm, Katy gained broad legal experience at a local litigation boutique and through public service and nonprofit roles. These experiences continue to inform her approach to litigation and reinforce her commitment to principled, client-centered representation.
