Stokes Lawrence Appoints First Chief Operating Officer, Jennifer Porto, to Strengthen Operations and Support Firmwide Growth
Stokes Lawrence, recently named one of Washington State’s top 100 fastest-growing companies, is pleased to announce the hiring of Jennifer Porto as its first Chief Operating Officer. In this newly created role, Jennifer will lead strategic operations and work closely with the firm’s Managing Shareholder and Executive Committee to enhance efficiency and align firm initiatives with client-focused objectives. Her appointment signals a new chapter for Stokes Lawrence, highlighting its commitment to client service, operational excellence, and team success.

Jennifer is a seasoned leader with a substantial background in law firm management and operational innovation. Known for her strategic insights and ability to streamline processes, Jennifer previously served as Director of Practice Management at an Am Law 100 firm, where she directed cross-functional teams responsible for strategic operations and business development. At Stokes Lawrence, Jennifer will oversee the firm’s finance, human resources, IT, records and facilities, and marketing departments, ensuring that each area aligns to support both the attorneys and the firm’s overarching goals.
With her unique blend of experience, including as a former practicing attorney, Jennifer will be instrumental in advancing the firm’s cohesion and operational agility. Her ability to “take the sand out of the gears” has established her reputation for aligning business objectives with practical, effective execution.

Jennifer graduated from Gonzaga University with a degree in political science and music before earning her law degree at Gonzaga University School of Law.
