Overview

Maricarmen Perez-Vargas assists both employer and employee clients with advice on federal and Washington employment law issues, including discrimination, wrongful termination, noncompetition and nonsolicitation agreements, leave, and accommodations.

She provides thoughtful advice and counsel to help clients avoid litigation whenever possible, and when litigation becomes necessary, she draws on strong advocacy skills and a proven track record to achieve favorable results.

In addition to her employment practice, Maricarmen handles a broad range of general litigation matters, advising clients on contract disputes, tort issues, and appellate matters.

Maricarmen’s work also includes conducting investigations involving discrimination, harassment, bribery, corruption, fraud, and conflicts of interest. She represents clients effectively in administrative hearings, including proceedings before the Public Employment Relations Commission and the Washington State Human Rights Commission.

A committed member of the pro bono community, Maricarmen assists with asylum cases, represents pro se litigants, and advises nonprofit employers.
