Elizabeth (Lizzy) Jennings is an experienced trust and estate attorney whose practice focuses on trust and estate litigation, estate administration, guardianship and conservatorship matters, and elder law issues involving complex family and legal dynamics.
Lizzy regularly represents vulnerable adults, family members, fiduciaries, and other interested parties in matters involving financial exploitation, abuse, neglect, disputes over decision-making authority, and the protection of aging and incapacitated individuals. Her work includes Vulnerable Adult Protection Order actions, guardianship and conservatorship proceedings, Trust and Estate Disputes Resolution Act (TEDRA) cases, and fiduciary litigation.
Particularly skilled at helping families navigate difficult and emotionally charged situations involving cognitive decline, allegations of financial exploitation, misuse of powers of attorney, and conflicts regarding care and long-term planning, Lizzy has guided clients through emergency court proceedings to protect vulnerable adults, secure appropriate guardianship and conservatorship arrangements, safeguard assets, and establish long-term frameworks for care and financial management.
With each matter, the client’s goals remain Lizzy’s primary focus, whether that means achieving a compassionate and collaborative resolution or pursuing determined courtroom advocacy at the trial and appellate levels. She regularly advises personal representatives, trustees, agents acting under powers of attorney, and court-appointed guardians and conservators regarding fiduciary obligations, reporting requirements, statutory duties, and best practices for protecting vulnerable individuals and preserving family wealth.
Drawing on her extensive experience resolving estate and elder law disputes, Lizzy also advises clients on proactive estate planning strategies designed to minimize conflict, protect vulnerable beneficiaries, and reduce the likelihood of future litigation.
In addition to her legal practice, Lizzy is an Associate Faculty member at Edmonds College, where she teaches Legal Research & Writing, Advanced Legal Research & Writing, Estate Planning & Probate, and Elder Law.
