Overview

Christopher Comley is a litigation associate who supports clients in commercial, employment, aviation, maritime, and class action matters. His work includes legal research and writing, discovery, mediation preparation, and drafting key motions, including successful motions to dismiss and post‑trial briefing, as well as appellate work.

Chris is experienced in all phases of trial preparation. He has contributed to multiple trials, including one resulting in a defense verdict, which he defended on appeal. He also assists the firm’s employment group, including with wage‑and‑hour class actions under the Washington Minimum Wage Act.

Before joining Stokes Lawrence, Chris was a public defender, in which capacity he litigated multiple cases to verdict. There, he developed strong client communication, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills, which ground his approach to civil litigation today.
