Stokes Lawrence Achieves National Recertification as a Women’s Business Enterprise

Stokes Lawrence is proud to announce that the firm has once again been nationally recertified as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council – Pacific (WBEC-Pacific), a regional partner organization of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

This certification follows WBEC-Pacific’s rigorous assessment process, which verifies that a business is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by women. The review also evaluates the firm’s governance, leadership structures, and long-term strategic planning to ensure the organization continues to reflect strong women-led decision-making.

“As a majority women-owned firm, we are honored to maintain this national certification,” said Theresa Wang, firmwide managing shareholder. “Our commitment to advancing diversity, strengthening pathways for women in leadership, and delivering exceptional service to our clients remains core to who we are.”

Stokes Lawrence’s continued certification underscores its dedication not only to women’s leadership within the firm but also to fostering an inclusive and diverse business community. The WBENC certification is widely recognized by corporations and government agencies as the gold standard for women-owned business credentials.

About WBENC

WBENC was founded in 1997 to develop a nationwide standard for women-owned business certification. Since then, the organization has grown to become the largest third-party certifier of majority-women-owned businesses and the leading authority on advancing economic opportunities and providing the tools and resources small businesses need to thrive in today’s economy.

Together with its Board of Directors, Leadership Council, and Women’s Enterprise Forum, WBENC utilizes the collective expertise of its networks to address the unique barriers women-owned and small businesses face in establishing and managing their enterprises or navigating large supply chains.
