Stokes Lawrence is pleased to announce that Seth Dawson (they/them), an associate in the firm’s Seattle office, has been selected as a 2026 Fellow of the Washington Leadership Institute (WLI), a highly competitive leadership development program jointly sponsored by the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) and the University of Washington School of Law.
Seth is one of a select group of attorneys chosen for the 2026 cohort, as listed by the University of Washington School of Law’s WLI program. The WLI was created to recruit, train, and develop attorneys from traditionally underrepresented groups for future leadership roles in Washington’s legal community. Founded in 2004, the program provides fellows with advanced training, mentorship, and opportunities to engage directly with leaders across the legal, judicial, and political sectors.
“On behalf of the firm, it is my honor to congratulate Seth on their selection as a 2026 Washington Leadership Institute Fellow,” said Theresa Wang, firmwide managing shareholder. “As a proud alumna of the program, I know how impactful the WLI experience is, and I’m excited to see Seth join this exceptional community of emerging leaders.”
Seth is an associate whose practice focuses on trust and estate litigation, complex civil litigation, and appeals, drawing on experience representing clients in Washington state and federal courts, as well as in administrative hearings. Before joining Stokes Lawrence, Seth handled a wide range of public and private matters, including civil rights, consumer protection, environmental, and municipal law.
