Alison Warden, shareholder at Stokes Lawrence, P.S., has been named a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). ACTEC is the preeminent organization for trust and estate lawyers and law professors in the United States and internationally. Fellows are elected based on their outstanding reputation, exceptional skill, and substantial contributions to the field, including lecturing, writing, teaching, and participation in bar leadership or legislative activities.

With a legal career spanning over two decades, Alison is a distinguished trust and estate attorney, focusing her practice on trust and estate litigation. Her background in tax law provides a unique perspective that allows her to navigate the intricate intersection of personal and financial issues in estate disputes. Alison has successfully represented clients in a wide range of matters, including will contests, breach of fiduciary duty claims, financial exploitation cases, and disputes under the Trust and Estate Dispute Resolution Act (TEDRA) and the Vulnerable Adult Protection Act.

Recognized for her strategic and compassionate advocacy, Alison is committed to protecting her clients’ interests both in and out of the courtroom. She is a strong proponent of alternative dispute resolution and frequently advises clients on mediation and other strategies to avoid litigation where possible.

She frequently speaks at legal conferences and continuing legal education seminars on trust and estate topics.
