About the Role

In this role, you’ll play a critical part in case strategy, discovery management, and trial preparation. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting attorneys with drafting and review of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and written discovery;
  • Communicating with advisors, opposing paralegals, experts, and others;
  • Managing the collection, production, and review of high-volume discovery and, in some cases, e-discovery;
  • Conducting research;
  • Summarizing depositions, trial transcripts, and other legal documents;
  • Providing onsite support at trials and hearings;
  • Preparing exhibits and trial notebooks;
  • Organizing case files and maintaining client records;
  • Coordinating filings in all levels of state courts, administrative agencies and occasionally federal courts.

We are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a litigation paralegal
  • Substantive knowledge of legal terminology and court rules and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with e-discovery platforms and document management software
  • Strong research, writing and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Collaborative work style with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
