Stokes Lawrence a Top 10 Firm for Women

Law360 again recognized Stokes Lawrence as one of the top 10 Best Law Firms for Female Attorneys among law firms in the United States with 20-49 lawyers. The firm ranked fourth among comparably sized firms across the country. The firm was also named to the Ceiling Smashers list, which ranks the top 50 firms in the United States with the highest percentage of female partners. Stokes Lawrence is fifth among firms with 20-49 lawyers.
To compile the report, Law360 surveyed more than 300 law firms on the demographics of their lawyer workforce. Firms with above average representation of female attorneys and female partners earn the title of Best Law Firms for Women. According to Law360, the average representation of female attorneys in firms with 20-49 lawyers is 37.8% for total female attorneys, and 25.4% for female equity partners. Stokes Lawrence lawyers are 53% female, and the firm’s equity shareholders are 48% female. The firm has a higher percentage of gender diversity than any other firm in Washington state. In addition to exceeding industry averages, Stokes Lawrence also stands out in its leadership. Only 14% of the firms that submitted demographic data reported having a woman lead the firm.
