Lori Rath, Alison Warden Join the Estate Planning Group

Stokes Lawrence is pleased to welcome Lori Rath and Alison Warden to its Estate Planning & Administration practice. They were previously members of the Estate Planning, Trusts & Probate practice at Lasher Holzapfel Sperry & Ebberson.
Lori represents individuals and families in all aspects of estate planning and administration. She counsels clients on estate and income tax minimization strategies, charitable giving, lifetime wealth transfers and gift tax matters, and property ownership agreements for both married and unmarried clients. She also routinely represents individual and corporate fiduciaries in trust administration and probate cases involving complex issues related to asset valuation, estate and income taxation, business concerns and sales, and commercial and residential real estate holdings. In addition to assisting clients with estate planning and administration, Lori serves as legal counsel to parties involved in trust and estate disputes. She earned her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law, and a B.A. in Theology & Ethics from the University of Iowa. She also participated in post-graduate study at the Centre for the Study of Literature & Religion at Glasgow University.
Alison's practice focuses on estate planning, probate and trust administration, and estate and gift taxation. She enjoys representing a broad range of clients, including young families embarking on their first estate plans, artists and musicians planning for their unique assets, individual and corporate fiduciaries in estate and probate disputes, and multigenerational families in need of comprehensive business succession and estate tax planning. Alison also represents clients in the preparation and negotiation of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Alison is President of the QLaw Association (LGBTQ Bar Association of Washington) and is a volunteer for the University of Washington Federal Tax Clinic. She earned her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Washington School of Law, her J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, and her B.A. in Music from Oklahoma State University.
