
Seth Dawson (they/them) is an associate with a growing practice focused on trust and estate litigation, complex civil litigation, and appeals. They have experience litigating in Washington courts, federal courts, and administrative hearings, where they have secured favorable outcomes through effective oral advocacy, strategic motions practice, and reasonable settlement negotiations. Before joining the firm, Seth represented public and private clients in administrative, civil rights, consumer protection, environmental, and municipal law matters.
Seth began their legal career as a law clerk in the chambers of Chief Justice Debra L. Stephens of the Washington State Supreme Court from 2019 to 2022. In addition to their regular clerkship duties, Seth worked closely with the Chief Justice and judges throughout Washington to draft the emergency court rules that allowed Washington courts to continue serving the public during the COVID-19 pandemic. During law school, they externed with Judge Morgan Christen on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Before law school, Seth served as a Senior Legislative Assistant in the Washington, D.C. office of Congressman Denny Heck (WA-10), where their policy portfolio included civil rights, education, energy and natural resources, environmental recovery, tribal treaty rights, and space, science, and technology issues.

Background & Interests
Outside of the office, Seth can usually be found in a state park, on a tennis court, or scavenging used bookstores. They live in Tacoma with their spouse, two cats, and an abundance of houseplants.
