George's law practice spanned more than 50 years. Over his long career, his practice focused on transactional matters, with an emphasis in trusts and estates. George was an active participant with the Real Property Probate and Trust sections of the Washington State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. George was a frequent presenter at continuing legal education seminars, helping other attorneys with a more general practice avoid potential problems in the trusts and estates field.

In 2007, George along with Morrie Shore, John Moore and Brendan Monahan, moved their practices to the Yakima office of Stokes Lawrence Velikanje Moore & Shore.  Before his retirement in 2022, George was a mentor to younger attorneys in the firm and worked as a consultant on special projects.
