Emerging Companies

The lawyers in our Emerging Companies practice work closely with entrepreneurs, learning their businesses and working as part of their team to help them achieve their vision. We guide our clients through each stage of growth, anticipating and answering common questions about corporate structure and financing, as well as providing advice regarding the issues that are unique to each client’s business.

As our clients’ businesses grow, we leverage our close collaboration with our colleagues in the firm’s Intellectual Property, Real Estate, Employment and Estate Planning practices to help protect our clients and their businesses, as well as strategically plan for the future.

Our Clients

We work with life sciences and technology companies, including those in the software, e-commerce, security, mobile applications, IoT, gaming, SaaS, medical device, biotechnology and other high-tech industries. We also advise B2B and consumer products and services companies. We assist clients with seed, angel and venture capital financings, growth equity financings, debt financings, corporate reorganizations and recapitalizations, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, technology licensing, and other strategic business transactions.

We are immersed in the local business community and have served many businesses from formation through their exit.  We are known for thoughtful and creative approaches to tackling complex problems, and when new challenges arise, we offer timely and innovative solutions to meet our clients’ needs.

In addition to working with entrepreneurs, we also maintain strong relationships with angel and venture capital investors, and often advise them on their investments in privately held businesses.
