Related Practice: Financial Services

The Stokes Lawrence Creditors’ Rights practice is now the Financial Services practice. The group’s new name better reflects its broader capabilities in representing financial institutions and commercial lenders throughout the life of a loan. The practice traditionally represented creditors’ interests in litigation, foreclosures, receiverships and bankruptcies. With the addition of Alan Schulkin and his lender-based experience in loan documentation for large commercial loans, tax-exempt bond financing and municipal lending, the practice’s capacity has expanded to include a wide range of commercial lending transactions.

“Our Financial Services group now serves institutional lenders from loan origination through realization on collateral and payment,” explained Shareholder Tom Lerner. “We assist lenders through every stage of the loan process.”
