Commercial litigator and arbitrator Peggy Williams Rasmussen has joined Stokes Lawrence as Of Counsel. She comes to the firm from Harrigan Leyh Farmer & Thomsen and previously practiced at Heller Ehrman LLP.

Her litigation practice focuses on complex commercial litigation involving contract disputes, antitrust matters, energy, utility regulation, computer software and hardware, environmental litigation, real estate, insurance coverage, and intellectual property.

Peggy has arbitrated a wide variety of disputes, serving as sole arbitrator and as an arbitration panel member. She is a member of the panels of arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and the King County Mandatory Arbitration program. She also serves on the AAA’s Specialty Roster for FRAND Disputes, reviewing disputes arising out of patent owners’ obligation to license standard-essential technology patents on fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory terms.

“We are thrilled to have Peggy join our firm. She is well respected in the legal community and her deep experience is a great addition to our strong Litigation practice,” noted Managing Shareholder Kelly Twiss Noonan.

Peggy is married to former Stokes Lawrence Shareholder Rick Rasmussen, who retired from the firm’s Litigation practice last year.
