Stokes Lawrence Velikanje Moore & Shore is supporting the Yakima Volunteer Attorney Services, the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project and other non-profit organizations as they host legal clinics for undocumented immigrants. As sweeps by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents continue, the families of undocumented immigrants are facing the question: who will take care of the children should the parents be swept up in the raids?

The clinics will help these families with basic legal needs, such as completing temporary non-parental consent agreements and powers of attorney. A number of the firm’s Yakima lawyers will be participating in the clinics.

“This is an important service and we are happy to help provide these families with a little peace of mind during these uncertain times,” noted Shareholder Sarah Wixson.
