Stokes Lawrence is proud to announce that the firm has been named a Corporate Champion by the Puget Sound Business Journal and the Seattle Foundation. Each year awards are given in eight categories that the Seattle Foundation believes represent the pillars of a strong and healthy community: Arts & Culture, Basic Needs, Economic Opportunity, Education, Environment, Global Giving, Health & Wellness, and Neighborhoods & Communities.

Stokes Lawrence was recognized as the Corporate Champion in the Basic Needs category.

Companies honored as Corporate Champions share the following characteristics: (1) they demonstrate above and beyond overall giving, including volunteer work, in-kind donations and cash contributions, (2) they embrace corporate philanthropy as part of the company’s culture, and (3) they significantly impact the community with their giving programs.

Stokes Lawrence employees regularly donate their time and talents to local organizations that promote social justice and help less fortunate individuals and families. Each year, firm employees provide hundreds of hours in free legal work to improve access to the civil justice system to some of our state's most vulnerable citizens. The firm also established the Stokes Lawrence Charitable Foundation, which supports Northwest charities that promote social justice and provide essential services such as food, housing, clothing, education and health care to individuals and families in need.

“This is a very nice recognition and we are extremely honored to be recognized,” said Managing Shareholder Kelly Twiss Noonan.
