Stokes Lawrence attorney Justo Gonzalez recently achieved the distinguished designation of Certified Compliance & Ethics Professionals (CCEP). The CCEP designation, issued by the Compliance Certification Board, recognizes individuals who meet the board’s stringent criteria for determining competence in the practice of compliance and ethics across various industries.

Compliance runs the gamut of risk management for businesses, from detecting and addressing human trafficking and forced labor in global supply chains to updating records programs to comply with employee and consumer privacy laws. It also touches all corporate regulatory laws, including financial, such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, antitrust and environmental regulations. The CCEP designation indicates that Justo and Beth possess a broader understanding of the compliance issues impacting their clients' businesses in and beyond human resources-related matters.
