Carl is an associate in the Real Estate practice where he assists clients in all aspects of commercial and industrial real property transactions, including negotiating and drafting transaction documents, diligence, financing documents, and closing mechanics. He represents both landlords and tenants in commercial and office leasing, and provides advice and counsel to Washington State municipal organizations, including on ground leasing, purchases and sales, entitlements for capital projects, quiet title and condemnation actions, statutory and constitutional compliance and community engagement.

Background & Interests

Prior to joining Stokes Lawrence, Carl was an associate with the Real Estate and Land Use practice at Perkins Coie. He also previously worked for The Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C. and holds a master’s degree in East Asian Studies, with a focus on Chinese law and international politics. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, hiking, snowshoeing, and paddle boarding.
