Prior to joining Stokes Lawrence, Susan practiced law for 18 years with another Seattle law firm where she was chair of the Business and Tax Practice Section and served on the firm's Executive Committee. She was also a CPA for a predecessor of Deloitte. Prior to law school, Susan taught mathematics at the secondary and college level for six years. She continues to teach as a speaker at seminars of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Society of Women Accountants, the Attorney-CPA Tax Clinic, the University of Washington School of Law, and other professional organizations.
