BACKGROUND & INTERESTS
Before joining Stokes Lawrence, Joan was a Judicial Law Clerk for The Honorable J. Robin Hunt, Washington State Court of Appeals, Division II, Tacoma, WA (August 2008-August 2010). She was a law clerk at the Law Offices of Zulauf & Chambliss during law school, a student attorney with the Tribal Court Criminal Defense Clinic, Tulalip, WA (September 2007-June 2008), and a summer intern for the Washington Appellate Project.
Law and business are in Joan's family. Joan graduated from the UW School of Law exactly 100 years after her great-grandfather. Before law school, Joan worked for her family’s fourth generation quartz and silica business in Seattle. Outside of work, Joan recently finished a mosaic covering a 240-square foot seawall and is looking for her next big project.
