Kelly Twiss Noonan
PRACTICE EMPHASIS:
Kelly's practice combines business advising and commercial litigation with an emphasis on class action defense and advertising and consumer law. Kelly is the firm's Managing Shareholder and a member of its Executive Committee.
REPRESENTATIVE CASES:
- Provide ongoing advice and training to several clients regarding compliance with federal and state laws relating to advertising, marketing, promotions, sweepstakes and contracts, credit practices and general business regulation.
- Defended and successfully resolved numerous consumer class actions against major telecommunications companies involving claims of deception, unfair business practices and breach of contract.
- Defended several nationwide consumer class actions involving false advertising and fraud claims as well as Federal Communications Act preemption and filed tariff issues.
ACTIVITIES AND RECOGNITIONS:
Kelly is a member of Women in Telecommunications and Washington Women Lawyers (Director 1992-94). She is a member of the Laurelhurst Park Advisory Council. Kelly was recognized several times as a Rising Star by WASHINGTON LAW & POLITICS and as a Super Lawyer by that publication in 2007.
EDUCATION:
Kelly obtained her law degree, with honors, from the University of Washington School of Law in 1989, where she was an officer of the Moot Court Honor Board (1987-89). She received her B.A. in English, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame in 1985. In 2006, Kelly completed the Management Program through the University of Washington Business School.
ADMISSIONS:
Kelly is admitted to the Washington State Bar (1989) and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit (1992).
