Aneelah Afzali

PRACTICE EMPHASIS:

Aneelah has a general litigation practice, with an emphasis on complex commercial litigation.

OTHER EXPERIENCE:

Before joining the firm, Aneelah was an attorney in the Consumer Litigation Practice Group at Heller Ehrman LLP. While in law school, Aneelah worked at the Hale and Dorr Legal Services Center (Housing and Family Law Units). She also served as: a legal intern for the International Rescue Committee, assisting in the development and implementation of the Durable Solutions Project (a pilot program to assist Afghan refugees); a research assistant for the UNHCR Imagine Coexistence Project, where she co-authored and presented a paper to scholars on the theme of coexistence at a Harvard conference; and a legal extern for the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts Steering Committee on Self-Represented Litigants.

EDUCATION:

Aneelah obtained her law degree from Harvard Law School in May 2003. She was a Chayes International Service Fellow, as well as an Executive Editor of the Harvard Blackletter Law Journal and a Primary Editor of the Harvard Human Rights Journal. Aneelah received her B.A., summa cum laude, in Psychology from the University of Oregon Robert D. Clark Honors College. She also studied for a semester at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador.

ADMISSIONS:

Aneelah is admitted to the Washington State Bar, the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
